20 throwback reality shows available to stream that we can’t get enough of

It's been a sad few years without NeNe Leakes on Bravo. However, NBC threw her wedding series, I Dream Of NeNe, on their server in April 2024. You can relive all of her hilarious and most memorable moments, like her time on The New Normal and remarrying her late husband, Gregg, on Peacock today.

This group of Persian friends is all about luxe and fun in the 90210. The series features several over-the-top personalities, explosive drama, and glamorous fashions. Catch all nine seasons of this series on Peacock.

These NYC ladies showed viewers that, with each other, they could do everything a man could and better. The series is available to stream on Netflix.

Gym, tan, and stream Jersey Shore and the spin-off Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on Paramount Plus. The latest series features the entire cast, including Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, who left the series in 2012 and declared never to return.

However, I will say that Bravo left us out to dry after canceling this show before the drama really got started.

If you're looking for a more relaxed version of The Real Housewives, you can enjoy the first and only season of the D.C. iteration on Peacock. However, if you're missing a dose of those busy D.C. streets, the revamped series, based in Potomac, Maryland, has eight seasons available to binge. And trust me, they don't miss.

Big Brother is the one reality series I'll never get tired of recommending. There's strategy, manipulation, lying, and so much more chaos that it makes sense why it's been on the air for 25 years.

A spinoff from The Real World and Road Rules, The Challenge started as a competition show with only cast members from previous seasons. Since its first airing in 1998, The Challenge has run for 39 seasons, aired over 500 episodes, and led to three additional spinoffs, including The Challenge: World Championship, which sees reality stars from different shows worldwide come together to compete for a large sum of money.

Like Big Brother, this series has run since 2000 and features many outrageous characters and even more intense gameplay. The seasons are available to stream on Paramount Plus, and believe me, it's worth it. 

It took me a while to try this series, but after watching the first season on Peacock, I was hooked. Maybe it's the before-and-after that gets me excited.

College Hill aired in 2004 and followed Black college students as they lived together in a house and experienced life. There was conflict and some physical altercations, but that didn't stop viewers from tuning it. In 2022, BET+ aired a spinoff, College Hill: Celebrity Edition, featuring stars like Lamar Odom, Ray J, and NeNe Leakes.

Shaq's ex-wife, Shaunie O'Neal (now Henderson), created this series and grabbed some of her most chaotic friends to join her. The show features epic one-liners, bold personalities, and shocking drink-throws.

After re-watching the Bad Girls Club as an adult, I realize how extremely messy this show is. But that's why I love it. These girls fought over half-eaten Hot Pockets, Reggie the Bartender, and other petty issues that make watching such a guilty pleasure. Season 10 is available on Peacock, and I'm telling you, I've never flown through 17 episodes so quickly. Which also tells me that you'll love it, too.

Abby Lee Miller can be terrible. I'll admit that. However, the woman knew how to make entertaining television, and I'll tune into Dance Moms every chance I get.

BGC13 featured some of the most iconic cast members, like Natalie Nunn and Judi Jai, living in the same house, fighting for a second chance to redeem themselves and shed that Bad Girl image once and for all. (To answer your question: No, they don't succeed.)

I can't recommend watching Kristin Cavallari try to steal Lauren Conrad's boyfriend away from her enough. This show was Ariana Grande's "break up with your girlfriend, I'm bored" before she put a melody and lyrics to it. 

Total Divas was produced by the same company that worked on Keeping Up With The Kardashians . So, you already know this series is worth the watch. It follows several WWE Divas, like Nikki and Brie Bella, as they balance life as top-profile athletes with marriage and motherhood.

There's an episode for everybody in this series, like trying out for the cheer team, surviving high school, or getting that dream job. You can watch them all on Paramount Plus.
